Reflection of year 2009
This year is certainly a year of change; new things, new exposures and new challenges.
And I seriously can't believe that a year just passed me by, just like that. 365¼ days
As a person, this year has been a year of many changes.
Be it in the inlook or the outlook, good points or bad points.
As for the positive or negative aspects of it, I guess it's rather subjective.
There are many people who like the current me (Be it in the inlook or outlook)
as well as many people who don't like the changes. But I'm still me, samsonhsuzhiqiang (:
of cos there are areas where it needs to be more refined, and I'm aware of them (:
Many challenges that I faced in this year, which in turn caused an increase in my
capacity to handle changes and problems. It also shapes out what is me, forming what is me.
A quick flash back (list) of the major events in 2009 for me.
Jan – Apr: Working experiences as a Temp Full time Admin Assistant (Marketing Assistant)
Apr –Dec : Start of a new milestone, life as a Polytechnic student
Jun – Aug: Participate in NDP as a motivator, under SP Primers,
Committing 13 weeks (¼ of the year’s) Saturdays to it
Aug –Dec : Undertake a Part time evening job as a Waiter in a Jap BBQ restaurant
Sep – Oct: A month as a Promoter for Ferrero Rocher and
Another month as a Mascot for HL milk
Nov – Dec: baby♥
And this basically wraps up the year.
In the first qtr, I hold a Temp Full time job, 8am-530pm. and well, you don't exactly
knock off at 530pm, my latest was knocking off in the office at 10pm.
Of cos the overtime pay just rocks, 1.5x :D
And I seriously miss the times there, not just because it's Tri****
(to those who knows where I worked)
but because of the experience, the kind of life, and most importantly, the people, my colleagues.
I learned many things when I was there, including how Marketers work,
well I was in a Marketing dept.
Eating at Clover, J8 bishan, AMK hub and long house during lunch break.
There's just so many things, but I really miss the life back then.
In the next few qtrs, started the life of a Polytechnic student.
It wasn't long before I started to adapt to it. Starting off with the FOC (camp)
and FOP (Programme) and POC (Primers camp) and basically it forms part of me in Poly.

Academic wise, I guess I'm doing fine, by His grace. 1st Semester didn't really show results,
with a GPA of 3.462, without studying ._.
but hit a downturn because of several modules that I thought wasn't important.
Life as a business student in SP, isn't really that much slacking.
Although yeah, I personally don't feel the need to study -yet
Next week's getting back all the results, that should say much I guess.
Of cos, I'll put in effort for my tiptop GPA end of 2nd Semester.
CCA wise, was in a very strong bonding with Primers, Crimsons.
But guess after NDP, I started with my busyness, and didn't really fellowship much.
Felt a big gap between ):
Used to have my life filled with them. well.
NDP with them was great! 2010, NDP again! :D
And also some connections with SP Astronomy, but Vp's graduating soon. well..
I miss seeing the meteors showers! :D
And of cos, in the last 2 months, life with baby♥ was fulfilling love.
